Glasses make more sense than watches

As I walked through the mall the other day with my phone in my pocket, I started to really notice what people have been talking about for awhile - everybody is walking with their heads down - looking at their phones. And even though that wasn't me, on this particular day, on any other day it very well could've been. I like using my phone - but I don't like having my head down all the time, missing real life.

I started thinking - we're never going to go back to not using phones. Our personal devices are here to stay - and I like that for the most part. So what could we change about them in order to eliminate missing out on real life, but also use our devices still? Google Glass.

I haven't been paying that much attention to Google Glass, mainly because I don't have the opportunity to afford one right now - and even if I did, I'm not sure I'm ready to be a pioneer in using electronic glasses as a personal device. But, I've been thinking of why glasses just make sense as the next, logical step in the evolution of personal devices. I think glasses make a lot more sense than watches at this point. I'm not sure what you could put on a watch that would make it better than having a phone.

The main reason why glasses are logical is that it would get everyone to pick their head back up and stop staring at a black rectangle all day long. I think we could get back to enjoying real life a little more and still enjoy using our devices. I guess we'll find out.
