If I could do anything, I would...

If you use the search engine, Google, you might notice they have different pictures of their logo from time to time to celebrate a holiday or an event - they call them "doodles". Sometimes, Google will hold contests where students draw a picture that incorporates the Google logo. The winner of the contest will have their doodle displayed on the Google homepage.

Right now they are in the voting phase of this year's contest. Students had to finish this sentence, "If I could do anything…" and then draw their doodle according to how they finished the sentence.

I think this is great - and shouldn't be just for students. Just answering that question, "what would you do, if you could do anything?" That's a great exercise. What's the one thing you would do if there were no limitations, anything is possible, and you could really do anything?

Then after you've answered that - put in on paper. Make a sketch of it. Draw it out… make it real. Make it visual.

Use your imagination. Think outside of every day life. Draw. Think like a kid again.
