Think about what you're doing and ask yourself if there is a simpler/better/more efficient way to do it. I can remember reading somewhere that when Google was going to make Google Notebook they wanted it to be better than pen and paper. That's hard to do, and Google Notebook has since been discontinued. Sometimes using pen and paper is the right choice. It's simple.
Technology doesn't always streamline… but sometimes it does.
